How does the counselling process work?
What are the steps?
01Step 1 - Call the office
Call the office at 416-902-6437 between 12 NOON and 6 pm; 416-289-2856 after regular hours: 7-10 pm.
02Step 2 - Make 1st appointment
Make the first appointment by emailing info@amct.ca.
03Step 3 - Possibly need a letter
For the PARS program, you might need a Letter of Enrolment.
04Step 4 - Complete questionnaire
Complete the intake questionnaire during your first session.
05Step 5 - Share your story
Attend one-on-one, partner or family counselling to share your story or concerns.
06Step 6 - Pay fees
Pay the negotiated fees.
07Step 7 - Receive report of completion
Receive a progress report or a report of completion.
08Step 8 - Meet any legal requirement
If necessary, provide a report to the courts or probation officers to meet any legal requirement.
09Step 9 -Request follow-up session
Request a follow-up session if needed.
10Step 10 - Choose e-counselling service
We also offer e-counselling services via phone, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, e-mail and/or real-time chat.
